Notes and News
Teachers’
Conference
There
will be no school on Thursday - Friday next week. The teachers
will be attending the South Atlantic Conference in Clearwater at
Christ the Lord Lutheran School.
Field
Trip/ Party
On
October 30th the 2nd and 3rd graders will be
wearing our Halloween costumes to the Pinecrest Place Assisted
Living Facility. As we did last year we will interact with the
residents by reading poems and singing songs. Then we will play a
few games. The trip lasts about an hour. We arrive about 10:45 and
stay until 11:45 or 12. The children will eat their lunches at
school. Have the children brought their costumes to school and we
will change here after chapel.
Mrs.
Plocher has said she can help us drive. Let me know if you would
like to drive.
In
the afternoon of October 30th we will also have a Harvest Party at
school.
We
are combining with the Kindergarteners and First grade classes.
If you could help us with games or food on that day, let me know.
There is a list of what we need on the classroom door.
50th
Anniversary and Service
October
25 is the 50th Anniversary Celebration for Bay Pines
Lutheran Church. The children are participating in the service
that day. There will be a meal afterwards to which you are
invited. The service begins at 9:30 a.m. and the meal will follow
shortly afterwards. Plan to come!
Singing
Nov.
1 the children in K-3 are also scheduled to sing for church. We
will
be
remembering the importance of reading and studying the truths of
God’s Word as we celebrate the Reformation.
