Tuesday:
Psalm
50:15 Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and
you will honor me.
Wednesday
Deuteronomy 33:27
The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting
arms.
Thursday
The 2nd Commandment
You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God.
What does this mean?
We should fear and love God that we do not use his name to curse,
swear, lie, or deceive, or use witchcraft, but call upon God’s name
in every trouble, pray, praise, and give thanks.
Friday
ALL
Miss a meal, get that hungry feeling.
Gotta eat or you’ll hit the ceiling.
You know your soul gets hungry too.
Let’s fill up on spiritual food.
Feed your faith, yeah, you got to feed it.
Read the Bible; your spirit needs it.
Read and pray ev’ry day;
That’s how you feed your faith.
Notes and News
Singing
On Mother’s Day:
The K-3 children are scheduled to sing for Mother’s Day, May 9th.
We would love to have the children there to sing. The service
begins at 9:30am. We will try to practice at 9:15 am in our
classroom.
Book
Reports
For May the children may choose any book they would like to read for
their book report. For their report they can make a puppet out of a
paper bag and give a short oral summary of what the story was about.
Field
Trip
We are hoping to go to Lowry Park on May 13th. Cost for
each of the children will be $3.00. PTL is helping with the rest of
the cost.
We will be asking the drivers to pay for their own admission which
is $11.00. Mrs. Lester and Mrs. McCaffrey have volunteered to
drive.
We would be eating lunch in their picnic area so we would need no
heat-ups for lunch that day.
Please have the children wear their red Bay Pines polo shirts for
this trip.
School
Musical
Last night’s performance was awesome! The musical tonight again
begins at 7:00 p.m. The children should be here no earlier than 6:30
p.m. They may dress at home. I put their shirts on when they get to
school.
Chances are Memorial Hall will be warm so dress comfortably. There
will be a freewill offering to help off set costs.
Special thanks to Shannon Marshall and Bridget McCord for their help
with the costumes, Kore Ashton for donating fabric for the costumes
and Diann Baker for helping where ever it was needed.
I
told the children they could keep their shirts and headdresses,
feathers, etc.
If you would like to help defray the costs, a $5 donation would be
appreciated.
Have a
great week!
